(559) 248-9408, Fax (559) 248-9411 Dear Retiree: The CWA-RMC Local 9408 Board first hopes you had a wonderful Holiday and also wishes you prosperous, happy and healthy 2008. We thank you for being members last year and helping to keep the solidarity between the active & retired members of the Communication Workers of America. We are asking you to again join the CWA-RMC Local 9408 for the coming year. There are annual dues to the Local of $15.00. We need these funds for necessary expenses i.e. envelopes, paper, stamps and more. Retired management that has any previous affiliation as a CWA member is welcomed & encouraged to join our membership! Please remember when you become a member of the Retired Members Council of Local 9408 you will also be a member of the California Alliance for retired Americans (CARA) which is affiliated with the national Alliance for Retired Americans a coalition of many other labor, community, senior and progressive groups fighting for and protecting issues such as Social Security & Health Care. Our first quarterly meeting will be the last Tuesday of January (1-29-08) beginning at 10:00 AM (FREE LUNCH) through 2:30PM. We are fortunate to have as our speaker: Dr Keith Lane a specialist on Medical, Trusts and California Insurance. Dr. Lane is a positive ally for seniors. The membership will be voting to OK our revised bylaws so we may send them to the national. We will have our fund raising raffle with numerous prizes and we greatly appreciate any additional prize donations. Please RSVP for the meeting (FREE LUNCH) with the Union Office at 559-248-9408. Gene Roza President CWA-RMC Local 9408 “KEEP INFORMED----JOIN CWA-RMC LOCAL 9408” AT&T's Health Benefit Enrollment Plan for 2008 Pacific Bell retirees who retired before April 5, 2004 may enroll (voluntarily) 11/19/07- 12/31/07, (or any time throughout the year) with the effective date of the 1st of the 2nd month after calling SBC Connect. Retirees that retired during the current contract may only change during open enrollment or if there is a major life change. The open enrollment for retirees for SBC/west is 11-05-07 thru 11-16-07, with a correction period of 11-23-07 thru 12-07-07. Retirees will only get an enrollment kit if they are REQUIRED to enroll or if a benefit they had is no longer offered (ie.HMO). If an enrollment kit is received, the Retiree MUST enroll during 11/5/07-11/16/07. SBC Connect is open Mon-Fri – 7am -7pm Central time |

Yearly dues are $15.00 and contribute solely to the financial base that allows the RMC to function & engage in events, activities & interest on your behalf.
